Building a new rocket ship

On Friday, April 17, I attended a meeting of the Arts Education Master Plan Steering Committee as a member of the public to support efforts to bring more arts education to SFUSD students. 

You can see my notes from the meeting above (and notes from committee member Jakey Toor here). The meeting was ably facilitated by Kayla Kirsch. She first gathered  knowledge in the room about what made the Arts Education Master Plan possible in the first place, then led a discussion about how a new rocket ship could be built to see the goals of the AEMP realized.

I look forward to further plans from this team. My understanding is that a smaller group of Julia Marshall, Frances Phillips,  Michelle Holdt, and Antigone Trimis De Cartagena will be meeting to discuss next steps.
